Common Mistakes
- Overfilling past the line - the disc needs headroom to float. Fill to the mark and the splash stops; fill to the brim and you are back to a wet floor.
- Leaving the disc in during the wash - take it out. The film that forms on a water bowl collects underneath it, and that is the part pets actually taste.
- Buying one size for a growing puppy - a dog that doubles in weight drinks roughly twice as much. The 68 oz saves you a mid-day refill.

How often should I replace water fountain or bottle filters?
With daily use, replace the filter every 4-6 weeks, or sooner if the water tastes off or the flow slows down. Each filter is made for one specific product: 3-in-1 water bottle filter, USB fountain cartridges and 101 oz fountain cartridges.
