Choose Your Size

Measure the widest part of your cat's chest, just behind the front legs, with a soft tape. Choose the size whose range includes that number. If your cat falls between two sizes, choose the larger one and tighten the straps. You should be able to slide two fingers under the vest, no more.

Chest girth matters more than weight: a long-haired or broad-chested cat may need the next size up.

The vest shape and the strap behind the front legs make it much harder to back out of than a collar or a thin strap harness, but the fit does the real work. Tighten it until only two fingers slide underneath, and always stay with your cat while it is outdoors.

My cat flops over when I put it on. Is that normal?

Yes. Size S is designed for kittens and small cats up to about 4.4 lb. Check the fit every couple of weeks, because kittens grow fast.

Can I attach the leash to a car seat belt or a tie-out?

How do I clean it?
